Staff Data Notice
Information about how your employer uses Briefed
What is Briefed?
Your employer uses Briefed, a venue intelligence platform that helps them run the business better. Briefed connects to the systems your venue already uses (like the POS and rostering software) and turns that data into reports and recommendations for management.
What data does Briefed receive about you?
Briefed receives the following information about you from your employer's connected systems:
- Your name
- Your hours worked and shift times
- Your department or role
- Your sales performance from the POS system
This data comes from systems your employer already uses to run the business. Briefed does not collect anything extra about you.
What does Briefed do with it?
Briefed uses this data to generate operational reports and coaching for your venue's management team. For example, reports might include total team hours, sales per labour hour, or department performance summaries.
Your individual data may appear in staff performance sections of management reports that your employer receives.
What Briefed does NOT do
- Share your data with other venues or businesses
- Sell your data to anyone
- Use your data for advertising or marketing
- Use your data for anything other than your employer's intelligence reports
Where does your data go?
Your data is processed in Australia and the United States (where the AI that generates coaching recommendations runs). Data sent to the AI is in the form of calculated metrics, not your raw personal details. The AI does not store your data after processing.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access - request a copy of the personal information Briefed holds about you.
- Correction - ask for any inaccurate information to be corrected.
To exercise these rights, email hello@briefedhq.au and we will respond within 30 days.
Questions?
If you have any questions about how your data is used, talk to your manager first. They can explain what reports they receive and how the data is used.
